| Reverse Speech and EVP Reverse speech was discovered by David John Oates from Australia. It is the process of taking forward spoken language and then reversing it and listening for other words or even complete sentences when played backwards. The theory is that when you speak normally what comes out in forward is your conscious thought process. When you play this forward message in reverse sometimes it will have another meaning and this is your subconscious thought process coming out in the reversal of the forward message. When you capture an EVP you can reverse it to see if there is another message when played backwards. This can be done by using a sound editing program such as Adobe Audition or even sound recorder that comes standard with most versions of Windows. You might get one word when played in reverse or a whole sentence. There will not always be a reverse meaning to a sentence or word but it happens very frequently. We have captured hundreds of voices from the spirits of the dead that have a reverse meaning. One EVP captured for example was saying in forward Speaking in Another World and when played in reverse it says There in here somewhere! Reverse speech can be used to tell the difference between a human voice and an animal if you have captured a sound on your recorder that you are unsure exactly what it is. Human speech is unique in this way because it is the only sound that when played in reverse can sound different or have a new meaning. An animal such as a dog barking or even a screech owl will sound the same when you reverse it. This is a good way to determine if you have picked up human speaking, living or from the other side! The technology of reverse speech has been used in a variety of different fields from law enforcement to hypnotic medicine. In the state of Oregon it is frequently called upon in law enforcement to determine if a subject is hiding something or not telling the truth. Generally when using reverse speech the truth will be spoken in reverse when a lie is told in the regular spoken message. This again is because the subconscious is what comes out in reverse and we have little control over this if any. In medicine it has been used to determine what was wrong with a patient when other means were not working. For example the subject might tell someone what is wrong and when played in reverse you might get a message such as Hart Trouble. Its also been used on politicians and even presidential speeches to see if they are leaving anything out or even lying! When a person is born we learn to speak in reverse before we can speak normally. This also means that a person can subconsciously take in a reverse messages and understand it but not know its meaning at the time! This is why some parents during the rock era were trying get certain songs banned or pulled from shelves because they thought that rock and roll had satanic messages contained within the lyrics when played in reverse. Well they were partly right because some have been proven to have backward messages but not all are evil ones. Since a person speaks in reverse before we learn to speak normal language it could suggest different paranormal theories such as reincarnation. Maybe we were preprogramed to speak in reverse when born so past life issues will not be reveled? Although I do not strongly believe in the reincarnation theory I keep an open mind. Another theory is that the reverse messages could be coming from a higher power or source to help guide us through our subconscious thought process. With reverse speech multiple theories and ideas can come about for investigating the paranormal. It could be an area of paranormal study of its own and should be studied very throughly! This is just a theory but are the voices of the dead coming through in reverse from a parallel dimension and captured in forward on our tape recorders or the other way around? No one knows for sure but what it does prove is that the spirits of the dead, if the subconscious and conscious theory is correct, still have both thought processes intact!
